The Reichsgau Oberdonau (English: ''Gau Upper Danube'') was an administrative division of Nazi Germany consisting of Upper Austria and parts of Southern Bohemia. Parts of the Salzkammergut were annexed from Styria. The Gau had the honorary title of "Home Gau of the Führer" ((ドイツ語:Heimatgau des Führers)).〔(Kriechbaumer, R. 1998, ''Geschichte der österreichischen Bundesländer seit 1945'', p. 117 )〕 It existed between 1938 and 1945. In September 1938, when the ''Donau-Zeitung'' announced that 3,000 ''Hitler Youth'' leaders were trained for fall duties, ''Oberdonau'' prepared 1,600 ''Pimpfenführer'' in 14 camps.〔Anna Rosmus ''Hitlers Nibelungen'', Samples Grafenau 2015, pp. 181f〕 ==See also==
